It has come. The day we all thought would never really come, well, it came. Here. To our house. A big looming number is attaching itself to Ryan and seems to be determined to stay. My friends, Ryan is turning 40 and he is not so very thrilled. We will celebrate anyway with lots of kisses, kind notes from old friends, and strawberry pie. We can face any birthday as long as there is pie.
On a slightly more serious note, Ryan is phenomenal (having a hard time finding a cool enough word). I remember when we first started dating sensing I was in the company of a solid, trustworthy, steady, rock solid guy. As I've come to know and love him my initial impressions have been confirmed; he is all those things and I am so thankful to have him as the center of my life.
I love this man and he TOTALLY deserves all the kisses in the world! Happy Birthday Ryan.

spring trends 2014
Pastels are a GO for Spring.
Watching cookies bake with friends is another Spring approved activity. Licking beaters required.
Attendance at the General Women's Meeting with your Mom: a great idea. (Yes Diana's bangs are LONG, she is growing them out...so slow).
When is doubt, dress yourself in plaids and stripes and dance,
and pose,
and smile.
Happy Spring.

nora's b-day
Nora turned EIGHT! EEK! She started the morning off with strawberry pie for breakfast, a fitting beginning to any birthday, in my book.
Presents were lovely and plentiful, scriptures and case, BYU bear (we aren't very subtle around here), a statuette from Aunt Jess, a necklace from Grandma, and an INCREDIBLE quilt from Grammy (she makes them the year the kids get baptized and she totally outdid herself this time - wow!)
Nora is a JOY; smart, kind, emotional and a great friend. I am one lucky mom.
