an easy smeezy birthday

Isaac turned TWO yesterday and let me just say, Hot Wheels are the best! Isaac is a happy kid, and only 96 cents a pop - ah.

We also made the world's easiest birthday "cake", yep, that's a round rice krispies treat - easy smeezy and so tasty!

In not so fun news, we have termites - argggggggggg. So, Merry Christmas to us - we get to have 400 gallons of poisonous chemicals poured into our home. You have to love home ownership.

boring

I am sorry we are soooooo very boring in blog land. You know the newborn drill, sleep, eat, rest, sit, try to do laundry etc.... I have taken it WAY easier with this baby and it is such a blessing that the 3 girls can actually hold Sarah for long periods of time - wow! It has taken me 5 kids to learn to just say "no" and not do my calling for a few weeks (I have the best friends in the world who cover for me - thanks Kelli) and just take a break. I went to sacrament meeting yesterday and it about killed me so the wedding should be exhausting, but we are very excited. Full report next week and maybe then we will not be so boring.

visions of lovliness

Sarah continues to charm with her lovliness.

She clearly embraces Grandma doctrine of feet. Grandma insits on babies having free feet for maximum happiness, so Sarah kicked hers right out of her swaddle.

In her swing. I love how her feet are all pulled up.

With a very tired looking Ryan - he is smitten.

karen's question

Yes, Karen (who knew the legendary high school Ryan), Ryan did wear a t-shirt (not the Calvin one though, too bad) and THE hat. It was too hot for jeans (AZ - ahhh).

Interesting fact about my guy Ryan. He was voted "most shy" his Senior Year.

halloween

We had a great Halloween. Isaac was a pirate (who refused to wear 1/2 of his costume), Nora was a stellar SUPER GIRL, Emily was Gymnastics Girl, and Diana was Alice in Wonderland. Aunt Di went as a black hole, Cousin Jen (whose friends were being boring, so she came to hang out with non-boring us) was Tinker Bell and Ryan was his high school self, whatever that means.

It's always fun to make-up the girls once a year and make Ryan re-realize what lovliness abides here and how much trouble there is going to be when the girls are teenagers - eek!

Sarah and I stayed home and relaxed. I wish we could have gone to the trunk or treat - I love costumes and I was told Kelli's good Witch of the North was a HIT, but it would not have been prudent, we have had 2 swine flu cases in the ward on top of the normal seasonal junk that always goes around.
